Introduction

The car is worth having, particularly in three-door versions with beautiful wing back seats and a fantastic blue color. The only non-standard aspect of this car is the wheels, which came with slightly dubious alloys. The car wears them well, and it reminds me of BMW motorsport alloys found on cars like the 320s I and the 130ile.

DSG Gearbox: Engaging and Reliable

The DSG gearbox, a new and fancy gearbox, gained a reputation for unreliability due to the mechatronic unit controlling its functioning. However, it is now relatively inexpensive to fix, costing around seven to eight hundred pounds. The DSG box can be used in both automatic and engaging modes, providing a more engaging drive when driving. The engine, badged as a V6, is the same VR6 layout found in the R32 and provides around 240 horsepower and 237 pound feet of torque. When you press on, the car doesn’t want to seem to do that. For most people, this will be good enough, but for the discerning petrol head who wants accuracy, feel, feedback, and interaction, the car is sadly lacking.

Interior and Comfort

When driving this car, you’ll believe everything anyone has ever said about audi’s desire to understeer and everything else because that’s exactly what they do. The car wants to wash wide grip levels today, which is the best they would have been for some time. The interior is rather drab, and while 10 grand will get you an okay 147 GTA, it’s not the best option for those who want more excitement.

The brakes are surprisingly large on the front, and they don’t seem to have any trouble bringing the car to a stop. The rear seat space is decent, and there’s plenty of leg room behind the boot. The car’s size is nice, and it’s sized very nicely.
